Adobe Acrobat Reader

The writer version of the free Adobe Acrobat Reader for PDF documents allows you to download parts or all of a website for offline viewing.
Adobe Acrobat Writer allows instructors to use web pages in a classroom that is not wired for internet access.

Students can also download web pages and access them later in a non-internet environment.
iTunes

iTunes is a free audio player that will play back music on both Macs and PCs. It also allows you to import music of information from a CD and export it as a MP3 or wav. file.
Instructors use iTunes to enhance presentations and to save files as MP3 files so that students can download the information onto their iPods.

Students use iTunes to get music and files onto their iPods from the course website.
QuickTime Pro

QuickTime Pro is an upgrade to QuickTime which is found on Macs and PCs. The Pro allows you to edit/combine movies, add/delete sound tracks, add captioning, edit sound files and download movies from the internet.
Instructors use Pro to add captions to a video/movie, to download movies from the internet to show in class and to edit movies/audio.

Students use Pro to edit movies/audio assignments and to download movies from the internet.
Audacity

Free audio editing for Macs and PCs.
Instructors use Audacity to edit their recorded lectures, guest speakers and MP3 files downloaded from the internet.
iMovie

iMovie is typically installed on most Macs. If not visit the Mac website to download it.
Instructors and students have used iMovie to edit films that they have created both for class instruction and assignments.
